The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The service position established for intervention encounters a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to enable the servicing of all consumers click here and raise usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
